About this business
The West Highland Way is the best-loved of Scotland’s long-distance walking routes, passing through some of the country’s most stunning scenery. The 96-mile route stretches from Milngavie to Fort William, allowing walkers to experience the spectacular landscapes and wildlife from Scotland’s largest city to its highest mountain via its largest loch.
Over 40 years, the West Highland Way has brought love into the lives of many couples. Some meet whilst walking and love blossoms along the way; others have used the amazing landscapes as the backdrop for getting engaged. Some have their wedding along the route, such as Gary and his wife who got married in Fort William and now repeat the walk each year to celebrate their anniversary!
Others decide to spend their honeymoon walking the Way. Iain and Laura Houston got married in 2020 and had their original plans disrupted. They spent their honeymoon walking the 96 miles, illustrated by Iain’s wonderful maps.
Most people take 7-8 days to walk the Way and there are a variety of accommodation options, from hotels to camping under a starlit sky.
If you love the outdoors and want a truly memorable honeymoon, why not try your own West Highland Way adventure?
