We reckon it doesn’t get much better than springtime in Scotland.

You can tie the knot in the luxury tipis or get married outside – if the spring weather allows. Bachilton Barn

Set in 700 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside, Bachilton Barn is the ultimate setting for a proper get-away-from-it-all wedding.

You’ll have the exclusive-use venue all to yourselves with access the evening before for set up. And when it comes to the décor, you can let your imagination run wild.

The light-filled barn is white-washed throughout inside, making it the perfect blank canvas to style however you feel. We reckon a riot of cherry blossom would look amazing for a spring wedding here.

Flexibility is key with four unique spaces inside, ranging from the large Barn (with capacity for up to 190 for your ceremony), to the smallest room – the Lochy – which is an ideal spot to hold a drinks reception, greet your guests or even stage an intimate ceremony or wedding breakfast. We love the canopied ceiling of the Barn with twinkling fairy lights, while the adjacent Bachilton, with its original stone walls, boasts the best view of the gazebo, pond and the rolling Perthshire hills.

Broxmouth Courtyard

New for 2022, who wouldn’t want to be one of the first couples to host their stunning wedding here? The historical courtyard has been transformed into a new space, ready to host luxurious celebrations dripping with rustic charm. The exposed brick walls and original features are the perfect backdrop for your spring wedding. Just imagine suspended spring flower arrangements or a gorgeous moongate.

The bright and airy space includes a stunning ceremony chapel, a separate wedding gallery, an exclusive bar, a picturesque outdoor courtyard perfect for a firepit and toasting marshmallows, and a private bridal suite.

You’ll also find seven beautiful cottages on site with space for up to 40 guests, and more than 150 acres of private parkland, which will make a stunning backdrop for all your photos.

Cluny Castle

How do you fancy saying “I do” in your very own castle, surrounded by expansive landscaped parkland? Located in Aberdeenshire, the 15^th century Cluny Castle really does have the wow factor, from its elegant tree-lined driveway, to its sweeping lawns and towers and turrets.

The castle boasts its very own chapel, which comes complete with a private courtyard entrance to welcome your guests. You’ll love the atmospheric stained-glass windows and dark oak pews with room for 100 guests. Directly below the chapel you’ll find the Tenants’ Hall, a beautiful location for your wedding reception while more intimate weddings can be hosted in the splendid dining room and drawing room. But we reckon if the weather’s on your side you can enjoy the lighter nights with lawn games during you drinks reception outside in the picturesque grounds.

Dakota Eurocentral

Ideally located on the edge of Glasgow, Dakota Eurocentral is equidistant between Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, making it easily accessible for wedding guests from both sides of the country.

From the moment you set foot inside, the hotel envelops you with a relaxing sense of calm and understated sophistication. This is a very classy setting for your spring wedding. The light and airy ceremony suite seats up to 80 guests, but you’ll have a choice of beautiful spaces to choose from, whether you favour an intimate gathering or an altogether larger festivity. The wedding team is on hand to tailor your day to your exact wishes. Then when it’s time for the evening reception you can welcome even more loved ones, with room for up to 100 guests.

Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club

Situated only 10 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre, this charming and atmospheric baronial manor house is known as Edinburgh’s county retreat. And it’s easy to see why. Set within 1,000 acres of parkland, you’ll find the sumptuous four-star hotel, with views of Edinburgh Castle and the Forth bridges.

Dalmahoy can offer you a choice of both modern and period settings in which to tie the knot. The hotel’s heritage dates back to the 1300s and the original manor house is home to the period suites, cocktail bar and smaller wedding function spaces while the atmospheric St Mary’s church sits at the end of the driveway.

Once described by Robert Burns as “The most romantic sweet place I ever saw” Dunglass Estate is ideally located between East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. You’ll fall in love with its rugged coastline, ancient woodland and beautifully landscaped gardens which look stunning in the spring and make a gorgeous backdrop for your photos.

Dunglass Estate has recently reopened since completion of the renovation and refurbishment of its events venue and self-catering accommodation, making it an ideal setting for a wedding where your guests can dance the night away and then fall into bed.

We love the light and airy events space, the cool firepit area and the piece de resistance, the half-ruined 15th century Dunglass Church – the perfect spot for a springtime ceremony.

Falside Mill

If sustainability is high on your priority list, you’ll be in good company at Falside Mill. The team here cleverly and carefully offset the carbon footprint for their new venue build by planting 1,500 trees around the East Neuk Farm.

Located near St Andrews and Crail, the renovated steading hosts all manner of weddings, from intimate gatherings to truly grand celebrations. For a dreamy setting for up to 50, check out the stunning Mill Ring, complete with flagstone floors and dramatic open beams.

At the other end of the scale, the skylit Main Hall seats up to 400 for dinner. And we just had to give a shout out to the Chill Out Room – a sweet wee sanctuary for ceremony prep or stealing a moment as newlyweds. Plus, being in the middle of the Fife countryside it’s of course the picture perfect spot for a spring wedding.

Kinmount House

Set on a glorious estate, the magnificent 19th century Kinmount House is brimming with beautifully finished Georgian décor with a modern twist – and a whole host of ‘I do’ settings.

For the ultimate in boutique weddings, you need to experience the Victorian Bathing House. Your sweet 16 guests can stand on either side of you in a semi-circle and post-ceremony, you’ll head off on a boat for extravagant wedding photos! Talk about making the most of the great outdoors in the spring.

A dreamy setting for slightly larger weddings (up to 70), you’ll find a captivating domed ceiling, stunning lighting and glorious views in The Orangery. The elegant Georgian Ballroom accommodates up to 100 while Kinmount Pavilion is the perfect setting for up to 180 day guests, and 70 evening. Plus the floor to ceiling glass panels will let you take full advantage of the lighter nights.

Rossie on the Earn

This new rustic dream of a venue has all the photo opportunities you could wish for. The magical 30-acre garden alone is brimming with picture-perfect spots, from the delightful sunken garden and the delightful summerhouse to the array of majestic mature trees. Your photographer is going to thank you for booking your spring wedding here.

When it comes to your ceremony, the charming Forgandenny Parish Church is less than five minutes’ walk away. Then after your vows, you and your guests can walk through the secret gate and stroll back into the main garden for your drinks reception. The gardens would also be the perfect setting for saying “I do” or the newly-renovated blank canvas barn, with its four interlinking rooms. Just think of decorating in here with all the spring flowers you could wish for.

The Haberdashery

Formerly an old tailor’s back in 1923, this hidden gem was named The Haberdashery to serve as a reminder of the building’s past and Scottish industrial roots.

The main function room is flooded with natural light – making it the ideal venue for a spring wedding in the centre of Glasgow. The room has been stripped back, boasting original hardwood flooring, exposed brick walls and an atrium ceiling.
