Nestled amidst Citation’s towering columns is Glasgow’s best kept wedding secret – The Balcony. The iconic yet understated terrace overlooks the grandeur of Merchant City and its delicately lit sandstone columns make the best backdrop for fairytale-style photos. The best bit? It’s fully heated all year round so it’s perfect if the spring weather isn’t quite playing ball!

The rest of the luxury venue – vibrant yet rustic and steeped in history – is just as impressive. Spread over a large open plan first floor area, The Merchant Suite is warm and welcoming with exposed blonde sandstone walls that’ll give your nuptials a timeless, characterful vibe. Dress it to perfection for the ceremony – and invite up to 130 guests – then pop off to the atmospheric Taverne Bar for drinks before dancing the night away.

Set in 700 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside, Bachilton Barn is the ultimate setting for a proper get-away-from-it-all wedding.

Flexibility is key with four unique spaces inside, ranging from the large Barn (with capacity for up to 190 for your ceremony), to the smallest room – the Lochy – which is an ideal spot to hold a drinks reception, greet your guests or even stage an intimate ceremony or wedding breakfast. We love the canopied ceiling of the Barn with twinkling fairy lights, while the adjacent Bachilton, with its original stone walls, boasts the best view of the gazebo, pond and the rolling Perthshire hills.
