Laura A Tiliman Photography styled photoshoot at The Rhynd

Contemporary meets classic in this ethereal styled bridal photoshoot at The Rhynd, Fife

Here at Your Scottish Wedding we love nothing more than when a bride has the self-confidence to style her bridal look in a way that stays true to her own personality.

It could be taking an elegant classic dress and giving it a contemporary twist with stylised accessories, or opting for an edgy modern outfit.

So we loved this gorgeous styled bridal photoshoot as soon as it dropped in our inbox.

Claire of Claire Adamson Hair brought together a number of talented wedding suppliers at beautiful restored byre venue The Rhynd in Fife to style and shoot this gorgeous edit which combined chic classics with the contemporary.

And the result? A beautifully feminine and ethereal look.

“The overall aesthetic was just very boho and soft, with a touch of elegance and modern,” says Claire.

Captured by Laura A Tiliman Photography, this shoot provides plenty of inspiration for boho brides in the making.

Laura says, ” We wanted the photos to feel effortless and natural and to create an overall ethereal feel.

“We wanted to showcase how brides can dare to just own their style and personal taste.”

Amy King Bridal in Kirkcaldy provided the long elegant ‘Ellen’ dress from the Rebecca Ingram collection by Maggie Sottero.

Instead of a traditional “bridal” up-do though it was styled with a high ponytail for a modern look.

The other two more alternative dresses were provided by Bellanude with layer upon layer of floaty tulle or a sleek and sexy mini taking centre stage.

The Flower Ranger in Kirkcaldy created the summery and boho bouquets for the shoot using lots of feathery textures.

We’re loving the bright blooms and bold foliage in this bouquet while the slightly more muted tones of the floral crown will have every boho bride’s heart all a-flutter.

Make-up artist Looks by Poppy wanted to create two looks for model Millie.

“Millie’s look was inspired by classical Parisian-type make-ups and I feel this was accentuated more in the second make-up through the use of a dark lip which paired well with the bouquet,” she says.

She created the look using Dior face and body in 0W and 2.5N and RCMA make-up KA concealer palette with Trinny London golden glow bronzer and Elf Cosmetics putty blush in Turks and Caicos.

In contrast Poppy wanted to keep model Klaudia‘s make-up very modern, drawing attention to the eyes with dark shades of browns and subtle hints of shimmer.

The Rhynd was chosen for the shoot as it’s so relaxed, versatile and the the gardens and settings around it are just beautiful and lush.

And there was even a neighbouring corn field for all those whimsical shots.
