Treat your bridesmaids to some seriously glam dresses from Jenny Packham’s AW22 pre-collection
Jenny Packham has got to be one of the most exciting British designers out there.
With her bold, yet feminine cuts, It’s no wonder she’s become a go-to of the Duchess of Cambridge. Just cast your mind back to that jaw-dropping glittery gold gown she wore to the 2021 premiere of the James Bond No Time To Die film.
And if it’s good enough for Kate, we reckon the label will elevate your wedding to a fashion-forward affair that will stick in the minds of your guests for years to come.
Believe us, your ‘maids will love you forever if you choose to dress them in any of the numbers below.
For the AW22 pre-collection Packham drew inspiration from Elsie de Wolfe, the first known interior designer.
Born in 1859, Elsie was renowned for dispensing with the gloomy old Victoriana of New York elite’s townhouses to paint a “simpler, lighter, uncluttered” aesthetic.
In researching Elsie, Packham went behind the chintz and borrowed her saccharine palette of pretty shades for the new collection.
“I let the faded memories of this pioneering woman douse the collection – hoping her ‘joie de vivre’ would set my designs sparkling,” she says.
That sense of fun and love for life definitely comes through in the new dresses. We can already imagine the fun and candid photos with your bridesmaids posing in them.
And we think if you’re going to be the best best friend and buy them for your bridesmaids, surely it’s only right you treat yourself too!
Here are a few of our favourites…
‘Miss Blush’
With it’s layers of frothy tea-length skirts in the prettiest of pinks, this dress would be adorable on your girls.
‘Belle’
Echo HRH in this beautifully caped design, cinched in perfectly at the waist. We reckon this would really shine at a classy city wedding.
‘Aster’
It’s a case of fun up top and some seriously chic lines down below with this dress.
‘Wonder’
It’s no, ahem, wonder this colour comes straight from Elsie de Wolfe’s palette. The whole silhouette has echoes of a bygone age, but given a modern twist.
‘Snapdragon’
There’s that gorgeous cape-work again, but given a totally different look with the eye-catching gold and silver embellishment.
The fresh green we reckon makes the ‘Snapdragon’ dress extra-versatile – going from a spring or summer al fresco wedding to a chic evening reception.
‘Pussytoes’
From the ice blue hue to the sheer sleeves, oh-so-chic sheath cut and exquisite beading, this showstopper would have your bridesmaids living their best lives.
